Adam's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mark Come to Vegas!

Well, we were fortunate to have another set of visitors here in Las Vegas this week. Adam's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mark came to visit Vegas for their 20th wedding anniversary (Congratulations by the way!). Of interesting note, Adam hasn't seen them in 25 years! Amazingly, he recognized them immediately when we met this morning for breakfast at the Paris buffet. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and chatted a few hours like old friends. It was certainly a pleasure for me to meet them today and for Adam to reconnect with his extended family! Hopefully, we won't wait another 25 years to meet again...

Back from the Smokeys...

On our condo porch. At the summit of the hike

Well, we are back from our "vacation." We worked hard until late Thursday evening, never slept in the whole time, and braved cool/damp weather...so the vacation wasn't our best ever! But, we did have a great time with my parents and Trey and did enjoy being away from Sin City for a few days! We met lots of people in Maryville and have found a home we would definitely be happy in. We completed the Certificate of Need application as well while we were there. Despite lots of "business" we did manage to hike one morning and went to Dollywood on Friday for my 31st birthday. The food was great all week and it was a pleasure to be around kind, considerate people for the week. Here are a few pics from the trip...

Just Another Weekend...

If you click on the picture to enlarge it,
you'll see what was really on her nose...She's gross!
50 mph winds made taking this photo difficult to say the least!
Adam happy to be done taking out the trash.
Fonzie and I posing at the front porch.

Well, we haven't put much on the blog lately because there frankly hasn't been much to report. Adam works about 60 hours per week these days and I'm working 7 days a week. Sundays are our only real days together, and I generally sleep until about 4:00 pm. Today, I got up a few minutes earlier just to give us more time together. We had dinner at Bucca and dessert at Dairy Queen (a Dampier family Sunday evening tradition). When we arrived home, we discovered that the dogs (ie Abbey) had gotten into the trash and left us a nice mess. Abbey had "stuff" on her nose, which we quickly discovered wasn't exactly chocolate... Fonzie acted a little guilty, but we're pretty sure he wasn't the main player in the event. Here are some pics of us out and around the condo...
